You work a part-time job in a company and the company posted an advert seeking a person for a full-time position. Write a letter to your manager requesting to apply for the advertised position. In your letter say

– Why do you want to apply?
– What are your future goals?
– Why would it be beneficial for the company?

Dear Sir,

I am writing to evince my interest for the permanent position advertised by the organisation in Sunday Times, for senior sales representative. I already work part time as sales representative in this esteemed organization and am keen to pursue it further. Moreover, now that my study is complete, I wish to continue in my work full time.

I certainly have long term plans to continue my work in sales and grow up the corporate ladder. Additionally, I wish to expand our product marketing to other parts of the world, where we do not have a presence.

My working in this company will highly benefit its profitability. I successfully completed my masters degree in Management and Sales last month. Besides, during my part time work, I developed some good contacts with our business partners and can influence them to invest in this company. This could only be possible, when I get an opportunity to work permanently.

I look forward to your positive response in this regard as soon as possible.

Yours faithfully,

Punam Kohli
