Tha Essay: In the growing world of technology, most professionals find their jobs meaningless. Therefore, people are suffering more from fatigue and stress. I agree with the notion and believe that the meaning of work should be redefined.
With the advanced digital technologies, most of the productive jobs have been replaced with automation and many more are at stake. Therefore, the vast majority of workers are stuck in a job that does not hold any real purpose, other than being a source of income. In addition, sometimes people feel they have less employee engagement in an organization and with time they become less enthusiastic or committed to work. According to a recent survey in the US, only 32% percent of people are doing their job with creativity and a sense of fulfilment.
Nonetheless, we should change our definition of work, to re-evaluate the meaning of work in our life. Work should not be determined by the size of the paycheck, but by the amount of happiness we spread. Also, the purpose of education should not be to prepare people for useless jobs, but for a life well lived. Consequently, we can create a world where job is for robots and life is for people.
To conclude, I opine that the huge technical advances made in recent decades are making people do meaningless jobs, therefore the definition of work ought to be a role that which gives meaning to life and not that which only generates money.
