The Essay:

There is growing trend in the number learners opting for education in foreign lands. I believe it is profitable for the students as well as for the countries they migrate to study in, although it leads to loss of valuable manpower for the native country.

To commence with, students receive international exposure and recognition, which eventually enhances their career. They become more aware about their field of work on a global scale, which would eventually lead to a bright career. For instance, after acquiring an engineering degree in India, Mr.Sundar Pitchai, the current Chief Executive Officer of Google, completed Master of Science degree in Stanford University.

Moreover, foreign universities and colleges, generate a great amount of revenue from international students. The same can be utilized for the development of educational infrastructure and for the country. Besides, inviting and accepting foreign students brings exposure of cultures around the world to their native students. Additionally, the best of talent results in better workforce for their industry and economy.

Nevertheless, there is an inevitable brain drain for the native country when the young generation migrate to other nations. Instead of investing time and money in their own nation, when the youth pursue education abroad, the country looses human resource and skilled workers. Moreover, the young people loose connect with their mother tongue, culture and traditions, which is generally considered a strength.

To conclude, I believe the current practice of students choosing to study in other nations, certainly brings them greater opportunities of growth, along with more revenue for the country they go to, although it causes a loss of valuable manpower for the native countries.
