ESSAY TOPIC: – Every country has its own distinct culture, clothes, table manner and eating habits. Many people believe that one should follows these rules and regulations while on a holiday or business trip to that country. Do you agree and disagree ?
ANSWER:-
The Essay: A lot of people opine that one must adhere to the rules and compliances of the country they visit for business purpose or holiday, since every country has its own unique culture, tradition of attire, eating norms and other etiquettes. I am completely agree to this view as would make the visit much memorable & enjoyable.
First, as it is said, ‘when in Rome, do as Romans do’.Therefore, it makes sense to imbibe or learn new things, prevalent in the destination land to make our trip comfortable and enjoyable. For example, when I went to Japan last year, I learnt the traditional values of their culture and a little of the Japanese language which made me comfortable there.
Second, following the rules and regulations of another country while on a trip there is imperative for their own safety, else visitors may be penalised. For example, in many nations, the rule demands a left hand driving, vis-a-vis right hand driving in others, as in India. If visitors do not follow the same, they could be in trouble.
On the other hand, some argue that not imbibing with the ways of living and dressing of the destination country, hurts the sentiments and emotions of the natives. This may make lead to a negative impact on the locals and they may become hostile. For instance, many foreigners wear western clothes in temples they visit in India, which is not appreciated by the Indians
To conclude that, it is true that each and every country is different in so many ways like rules, regulations, food, related mannerisms and clothing. According to me, tourists must follow the distinctive lifestyle and dress code of the place they visit either on work or pleasure, in order to enjoy, be safe and feel at home.
