The Essay Topic: Nowadays many people choose ready made food and refuse to cook at home. Why do you think it happens? What are the advantages and disadvantages of such a choice?
The Essay: It cannot be gainsaid that these days people avoid cooking at their dwelling place and prefer to consume ready-made meals. However, there are several reasons behind this phenomenon and it has its own merits and demerits.
Firstly, nowadays a plethora of options are available for individuals to purchase healthy and delicious food, which saves a colossal amount of time of them because they do not then need to spend time in the kitchen for food preparation. For example, I sometimes order ready meals online due to my hectic work schedule, rather than cooking.
Secondly, people can choose from a variety of cuisines when they opt to purchase ready to eat food from restaurants and eateries. For instance, consumers can even relish Indian cuisines while in other parts of the world and vice-versa. Therefore, bringing cooked food from outside is a boon for people instead of the botheration of preparing it at home.
Nevertheless, it can be seen that sometimes people complain that precooked food is not fresh vis-a-vis food prepared at home. Owing to this, they may face common or even serious health problems. Furthermore, food can be expensive when a person purchases it from out and he or she may face financial difficulties as well. On the other hand, cooking at home may help them save some money.
In conclusion, according to me, nowadays ready meals are in vogue and people select it instead of preparing at home, as an array of cuisines are available in the market that can be ordered instantly by just the click of a mouse. Nonetheless, it may deteriorate their health because sometimes outside food might not be healthy.
