Essay Topic: Effective learning requires time, comfort and peace, so it is impossible to combine study and employment. Study and employment distract one from another. To what extent do you think the statements are realistic? Support your opinion with examples.
The Essay: It is believed that as successful study needs time, ease and peace of mind, it is inconceivable to club a job and education together as they act as a diversion for each other. Employment as well as effective education demand full dedication.
Firstly, in present times, people seek employment first, in order to become financially independent. Besides, many students do a part time or full time job while studying in a university and still obtain good grades, notwithstanding the distractions of both. According to a recent survey in the USA, such types of people are more successful in professional and personal life because they know how to manage time. Secondly, there are parents who cannot bear the educational expenses of their children. They deliberately urge their children to take up a job so that they can earn money for the family. But it does not mean that the child should abandon his dream of acquiring education. On the contrary, with a firm determination, many such youth continue their education effectively and work to feed their family .
Nonetheless, learning requires concentration and time to grasp new technology and subjects. Students who do not work can focus entirely on studies and learn things with ease and comfort and may perform better in academics. Yet, it is also observed that some students who do not work but only study, fail to perform well in academics despite absence of diversions.
To conclude, I opine that though effective studies require more comfort and time, working and study both are possible simultaneously. Success in education solely depends on the dedication and determination of a person. People should study and work alongside to make themselves more skilled and capable.
