Essay Topic: Childcare training should be mandatory for all parents. Do you Agree or disagree, give reasons and examples.
The Essay: It is believed that training for upbringing of children ought to be compulsory for every parent. According to me, this is certainly required as it will aid in raising good and responsible citizens who would be an asset to a family as well as a nation.
First, proper training of childcare will ensure that parents can bring forth children who understand their responsibilities and contribute positively to society. Many young parents in this modern age are pressurised coping with work and home and have neither the skill nor knowledge of bringing up babies in the right manner. As a result we often across imbalanced children with many psychological problems. Second, parents can fall back on the tried and tested techniques of childcare training that would be a boon not only to children but also the father and mother. In the days bygone, grandparents would often take care of children and impart moral and social values to children which is missing in current day nuclear families due to lack of training.
On the contrary, it is also true that not all children are the same and each child is unique. The right method to bring up one child may not work with other children. Therefore, childcare training might not be suitable for all children. For example, two children in my family are poles apart and we had to apply completely different techniques to raise them.
To conclude, I opine that training for childcare should be mandatory for all parents as it will certainly be an advantage and many parents in this busy modern life can reap the benefits of raising up good members of society, though such training might not be useful for all children
